Nevacloud Technology

Nevacloud uses the best-in-class hardware and software technology for optimal speed and performance.

Data Center

Nevacloud offers three strategic Tier III data center locations in Indonesia, ensuring reliability and optimal performance:

  • Nex Datacenter at Cyber 2 Tower, Jakarta, the primary location for the cloud cluster and network interconnection.
  • Nex Datacenter at Menara Tendean, Jakarta, the main base for the newest cloud cluster.
  • APJII Datacenter at Cyber 1 Tower, Jakarta, designed specifically for network interconnection.

Each data center is interconnected with redundancy over 10 Gbps links, ensuring resilience and speed in every operation.

Cloud Platform

Nevacloud develops its platform independently, using a range of open-source solutions to manage its cloud cluster. By integrating a number of server nodes into a single cluster, we achieve horizontal scaling capability and high reliability.

The resources available to every server connected in the cluster include:

  • Compute: Enables full utilization of the compute capacity (CPU and RAM) of all nodes.
  • Storage: All storage media are pooled into one, letting every server access the same storage even when it lives on a different physical node.
  • Network: Each node is connected to the internet and to each other in a unified network, enabling fast access to all resources in the cluster.

All physical nodes work together to process data, avoiding unnecessary downtime with the ability to live-migrate to another physical node without interruption (High Availability).

Every component is designed to be redundant, ensuring there is no single point of failure (SPoF) that could disrupt the operation of the entire system.

Storage

Nevacloud applies Distributed Storage based on the Software-defined Storage concept, where every piece of data is simultaneously distributed across a number of servers with double redundancy through 3X data replication. This process involves splitting data into pieces (chunks) that are then spread across different servers to guarantee data integrity and security.

Nevacloud does not only optimize data availability with 3X replication, but also ensures that data is broken into small units to minimize risk and strengthen the security layer, while improving performance because data access involves many servers at once.

Network Connection

Nevacloud applies several redundancy layers to its network infrastructure, guaranteeing high availability and reliability:

  • Multiple Switch: The system uses multiple switches to ensure optimal redundancy.
  • Multiple Upstream: By providing several upstream paths, Nevacloud ensures service availability through different routes to increase redundancy.
  • Redundant 10 Gbps Network: Nevacloud builds a redundant network at 10 Gbps, supporting IPv4 & IPv6 connectivity to deliver fast, reliable service.

The Nevacloud network connects to several local IXPs (Internet Exchange Points), including:

  • OpenIXP (NICE): Up to 10 Gbps
  • IIX (Indonesia Internet Exchange): Up to 10 Gbps
  • JKT-IX (NTT Indonesia): Up to 10 Gbps
  • C2-IX (Cyber2 Internet Exchange / CBN): Up to 10 Gbps
  • NCIX (Telkom Indonesia - Neucentrix Internet Exchange): 2 Gbps

Nevacloud also establishes direct peering through the IX with leading Content Providers, including:

  1. AWS: Up to 10 Gbps
  2. Google Cloud: Up to 10 Gbps
  3. Cloudflare: Up to 10 Gbps
  4. Akamai: Up to 10 Gbps
  5. Alibaba: Up to 10 Gbps
  1. Microsoft: Up to 10 Gbps
  2. META: Up to 10 Gbps
  3. Zenlayer: Up to 10 Gbps
  4. Netflix: Up to 10 Gbps
  5. Twitch: Up to 10 Gbps

With this implementation, Nevacloud ensures optimal connectivity and high performance in running its network services.
